After your waxing session at The Bare Man, follow these aftercare tips to maintain smooth, healthy skin:
1. Avoid Heat and Sweat
Steer clear of hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs for 24-48 hours.
Skip intense workouts or activities that cause excessive sweating during this time to prevent irritation.
2. Avoid Sexual Activity
Refrain from sexual activity for at least 24-48 hours after waxing. Friction and heat can irritate freshly waxed skin.
3. Wear Loose Clothing
Opt for loose-fitting clothing to allow your skin to breathe and avoid friction on the waxed area.
4. Soothe Your Skin
Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe vera to calm any redness or irritation.
Use products like PFB Vanish to help prevent ingrown hairs and promote healing.
5. Skip the Sun
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 48 hours post-waxing. Your skin will be more sensitive and prone to sunburn.
Always apply sunscreen to protect waxed areas if you need to be outside.
6. Exfoliate (But Not Right Away)
Wait 2-3 days before exfoliating the waxed area.
Use a gentle exfoliator, such as our mesh cloth exfoliator, to keep skin smooth and prevent ingrown hairs.
7. Avoid Harsh Products
Refrain from using heavily fragranced lotions, sprays, or scrubs on the waxed area for at least 48 hours.
Avoid products with active ingredients like retinol or AHAs, which can irritate freshly waxed skin.
8. Be Gentle with Your Skin
Avoid touching or scratching the waxed area to minimize irritation and the risk of infection.
9. Stay Consistent
To maintain smooth results, schedule regular waxing appointments every 4-6 weeks.
