Pre-Wax Care
To ensure the best results from your waxing session at The Bare Man, follow these simple pre-care tips:
1. Let It Grow (But Not Too Much)
Hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) for effective waxing.
Avoid shaving or trimming the area for at least two weeks before your appointment.
2. Exfoliate Gently
Lightly exfoliate the area 24-48 hours before your appointment. This helps remove dead skin cells and allows the wax to grip the hair more effectively.
Avoid using harsh scrubs; a gentle exfoliator or our mesh cloth exfoliator works best.
3. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water and keep your skin moisturized leading up to your appointment, but skip the lotion on the day of your waxing.
4. Avoid Caffeine and Alcohol
Refrain from consuming caffeine or alcohol on the day of your appointment. These can make your skin more sensitive to waxing.
5. Plan Your Timing
Avoid scheduling your waxing during your menstrual cycle if you’re particularly sensitive.
Allow at least 24 hours after waxing before hitting the gym, pool, or sauna.
6. Relax and Be Ready
Wear loose-fitting clothing to your appointment to avoid irritation after waxing.
Communicate any allergies or skin sensitivities with your esthetician.
